If you manage Google+ Pages you will notice that the number of +1’s shown in the Page Banner is often much larger than the number of people circled for the page. What is the Deal?
The number of +1’s showing on your Google Plus Business Page are an accumulation of a number of things. It includes people who have circled the Page, plus any of the following:
- Hit the +1 in the Banner of the page (with or without also circling)
- Hit +1’s on the Business’s web site (if they have the widget on their Web-site) .
- Number of members in any communities owned by the Page. (This one is not widely known, but those community members translate into plusses for your page!)
Tip: You will see a smaller number of +1’s for the business page if it is viewed while logged in as yourself vs. as the Business Page. The different count appears when a manager views the Page from theirown account while logged in, the number of the page’s Community members isn’t factored in.
