  • DFW TweetUp Tonight: Every Online Networkers Need to Offline Network

Posted on September 30th, 2009 MrBusinessGolf Comments

I understand many of the guys and gals who are reading this blog are not REAL comfortable talking to a real person thus is why they are focused on only communicating electronically.  Unfortunately, the time has come for anyone online to show their face offline if they are going to be successful online…yaw, that was a long winded way of saying..Shut off the desk-top, laptop or iPhone and get out and meet real live people.

Real-Stand-Up-Guy-small-25xIf you are not willing to show your face then more than likely the assumption is going to be made that your exist online is for some untrustworthy reason.  Yaw, Really.

It was not too many years ago I was accused of being someone I was not and it was not until I showed my face offline that my credibility as a Real person came about.

So, I am stepping out to a TweetUp this evening here in Dallas..the DFW TweetUp to be exact graciously sponsored by Moroch Partners.  Since I now have a presence on Twitter it just made sense to go out and see who else is brave enough to show their face to the REAL world.

Anyway, if you want to meet me and chat in conversations longer than 140 characters then drag your carcass down to Nobu’s at 5:30PM , order yourself one of those frilly cocktails they are famous for and lets talk.

What do we have to talk about..well probably why you decided to come to a TweetUp would be one, but maybe I could learn what your claim to fame is to the world.  Who knows?..you just may end up in my blog..One can only hope, right?

Of course we could talk Social Media, Social Networking, Business Networking, Business Operations, Mentoring, Coaching and Business Realities.  We can debate what virtues Twitter has or has not and maybe you can convince me why Facebook is not a lost cause..yes, debate, not argue.

Of course you can ask me ANYTHING you want to know about golf and why it is the most all consuming activity, game and sport anyone (yes that means even you) should learn to play.

If you don’t believe me, just check with the over 525 members of the Business Golf Country Club.  I am sure any of them will set you straight on what you are missing out on if you are not a golfer.  And if you are a golfer then you will hear why you should be a member of the Club.

In any case, it will be a joy to meet you and finally put a face to one of the millions of Tweeters who don’t show their face…I am not one of them so I will…

    See you there.

The strength of Social Media is in the efforts put into delivering the GTG mission to the public in a Social manor. Social Networking now is mainstream marketing.

The World of Marketing Has Changed

Since October 2008, when the bottom fell out of the business world, the trust people had with anyone in any business evaporated with the economy. Social Media had already been highlighted in the preceding Presidential campaigns… Read More

Was it just for fun or intended as a joke? Was it more than it turned out to be or what we hoped it to be? Are the stars of the CK vs JR golf match yesterday before the Super Bowl geniuses or just out to have fun?  The answer to all of these and hundreds of other questions is…

    YES!

What a great day… Read More

6 years ago when I took on my mission to heighten the awareness of Golf’s virtues as an effective business tool I became exposed to what is now called Social Media.  More specifically, Social Media for Golf is it is totally different for golf than the mainstream of the business community.  Seeing where Golf has gone since the hay days of a bright economy and where it is now I… Read More
