I have been out here using the Internet for a VERY LONG time. I have seen a lot to things come and go. More things go than come. From this extremely huge amount of experience have developed an inordinate amount of instinct in know what is really Awesome and what is Not.
In Mid 2013 I mentioned on Google+ for the first time the OMG (Oh-My-God) Meter as my way of rating something brought to my attention. I generally only use it when there is no other way to express my reaction. Since then I have been repeatedly asked what the heck is the OMG Meter. Here is my Best Definition.
The OMG Meter is a scale of emotions I use in the Online Social Spaces to rate my reaction towards something..or anything.
The scale ranges from Ridiculously Awesome at the top to Not Awesome near the bottom. Actually, I am not sure the OMG Meter has reached the bottom rating of emotion, especially when it is used on Facebook or Twitter.
The mainline of emotions expressed from the OMG Meter range from exhilaration and excitement, to discuss, indifference and nauseation.
The Bottomline: If I give you see my OMG Meter Rating, it means I have found something worthy of comment…which does not happen often out here in La-La-Land.
